James McDonald (7-5, 4.23 ERA) vs. Madison Bumgarner (6-11, 3.71 ERA)
The Pirates finally got off the snide with one of their most complete wins of the season. Last nights 5-0 win against the Giants will hopefully get the Pirates back on track towards a .500 season now that the division race is out of reach. Not to dwell on the past but the Pirates were in first place 13 short days ago and have fallen to the point where they are now 9.5 games out of first. No other team has fallen so far, so fast in the history of baseball. Not exactly a part of history that you want attached to your team. With that being said, the Pirates have a chance to start a winning streak and build on the success of last night. Let's see if they can do it. Let's go Bucs.
